Draw Animals! for ages 8 to teen with instructor Marilee Spencer Tuesday afternoons, 3:30 to 5:30 Classes begin January 9, 2018
Starting with the drawing “building blocks” like form, depth, texture and perspective, students will learn how to draw animals.
Each class will cover a different animal from reptiles and birds to fish and mammals, focusing on anatomy and different drawing techniques.
Students will learn traditional illustration skills which help with the rendering process, so that by the end they can begin to draw any animal comprehensively and continue practicing on their own.
Class might also include a few optional extra Saturday field trips to the Natural History Museum/or LA Zoo where students may practice sketching different types of animals from life. Details will be discussed further with parents once the classes begin.
